5 Graphic Organizers you should use to develop your designs

Graphic organizers are growing in popularity just recently and you might now heard of them.

What are they and what is their purpose?

Same like with mood boards, we are aiming to explain our vision and ideas through these organizers to not only be "organized" with our work, but to note down the key thoughts on something.

Organizers, also known as mind maps, are not only vision tool for designers, anyone can really use them for any purpose and that is why there is so many of them out there.

These mind maps could be very helpful in situations like:

  • you need to cut down information and create smaller, important chunks that explain very easily the overall content

  • you want everyone to understand the topic no matter how good they are in the specific language thanks to its high graphic content

  • you often change ideas and in these organizers you can do it very easily

  • you need to get to the root of specific problem and you can write down ideas how to solve it

  • you can't decide on something, so you can note pros and cons to make a conclusion

  • you can compare different topics

You already know the purpose, so let's have a look on some graphic organizers I made specially for design work to help you out!

All mind maps were created by me in Canva.

Do you use graphic organizers for your work? If not, will you give it a go?
